The temporary City Income Tax is a fair, reasonable and
responsible plan that will help guarantee Ypsilanti's future by:

  • Reducing property taxes for all Ypsilanti homeowners
  • Requiring more than 10,000 people who work, but don’t live in Ypsilanti to pay their fair share for services that benefit everyone
  • Helping maintain our safety and property values by adequately funding public safety and other critical City services

What cuts will be necessary
without the Temporary City Income Tax?

  • Protect the health, safety, and quality of life of our neighborhoods
